Rebecca Cowan is a West Coast girl, through and through. She’s from Orange County, California, with stops (among others) in San Diego, Seattle and Portland. Along the way, Rebecca spent 19 years at Qwest Communications in Engineering’s accounting department.
Rebecca stayed in Portland when her Qwest job moved to Denver. She opened a new life chapter, graduating from Marylhurst University with a fine arts degree and joining TMT as a temp. She went on to serve as office manager and property manager, but always helped out with accounting. She has been with TMT since 2001.
Working with numbers suits her well. “I’m a very organized person. If things are messy, you can’t think straight.” Her day job working with numbers is a bit of a contradiction for this artist, painter and lover of fiction thrillers.
Rebecca’s creative outlet is painting acrylic abstracts with figurative elements. She loves waterfalls, water in any form, and living in an area full of waterfalls. A long walk with her sketchbook is a favorite pastime.
Rebecca lives in Clackamas County with her husband, Tim, and they have two adult sons. She especially enjoys her summertime commute, with weekday walks from her MAX Light Rail stop to her office at Park Avenue West.
We’re so glad Rebecca found her way from the O.C. to PDX … and stayed.
