Daniel Hernandez spends every weekday at Fox Tower in the heart of downtown Portland. He’s an important part of TMT’s eyes and ears at this 27-story tower, which houses more than 530,000 square feet of office, retail, food and a cinema.
What does Daniel like most about being here? “There is a routine with daily work orders coming from our property manager, but I have flexibility and independence to decide what to do and how to do it.”
Between those daily work orders comes the unexpected, inherent in a large commercial property, and even the occasional emergency. Through it all, Daniel says, he’s “grateful to be here.”
Born in El Salvador, Daniel moved to Portland more than a decade ago. He attended Portland Community College and came to TMT thanks to his aunt, Sonia Fernandez, who is also part of the TMT team.
When he’s not keeping Fox Tower in shape, Daniel spends time at the gym, playing soccer or hanging out with friends. Oregon is just the right place to enjoy his love of hiking and camping, too.
As much as he likes his job and his city, Daniel dreams of traveling to Spain someday – to Barcelona to see a soccer match. In the meantime, you’ll find him delivering top-notch customer service at one of Portland’s most iconic commercial buildings.
