TMT Development is excited to announce the restart of the Park Avenue West Tower in the Central Business District in downtown Portland.
"I’m thrilled to announce that as of today we have restarted construction on this project ahead of our expected timeline. We believe the updated design for Park Avenue West Tower is a perfect fit for Portland and will be a spectacular addition to downtown." - Vanessa Sturgeon, TMT Development President
TMT Development is one of the West Coast's most respected names in real estate development and is recognized as a premier developer of Class A office towers and retail shopping centers throughout the northwest.
We own and operate all of our developments, and over the past 20 years we have developed a legacy of quality personal involvement with a focus on customer satisfaction. The working relationships we have built with our tenants, fellow business owners and local vendors are keys to our company's success.
Our developments are integral to the downtown Portland, Oregon business community. The 1000 Broadway Building, Fox Tower, Studio Building and the future Park Avenue West Tower are some of the most distinct buildings in Portland's beautiful skyline. Our knowledge and expertise in site selection, design and operations continues to spur profitable and well-managed growth.
Park Avenue West Tower will be a 30-story, 546,000 square foot mixed-use development in the heart of Portland’s Central Business District. Portland’s newest tower will include 13 stories of Class A office space, 15 floors of residential units, and feature unobstructed, 360-degree views from virtually every floor. Park Avenue West Tower takes a comprehensive approach to sustainability, and has secured pre-construction LEED Platinum certification with the U.S. Green Building Council.
A 27-story office building opened in 2000, the Fox Tower is one of Portland's most recently opened major office buildings. The building is named after the Fox Theatre which occupied the site from 1911 until the late 1990s. The building is most notable for the contrast between its curving east side and boxy west side. The juxtaposition of the building's angles creates a unique profile from each side. The building's design is meant to prevent as much of the building's shadow as possible from falling upon neighboring Pioneer Courthouse Square. Home to many of Portland's premier businesses, the building also houses ground-level retail stores, fine dining establishments and a Regal Cinemas movie theater.
Director Park is serves as a back yard for the Fox Tower and the future Park Avenue West Tower. Located on SW Park and Yamhill, the park features a water fountain, a restaurant/café, and a covered outdoor seating area. The development of Director Park was truly a community effort as the land for the park was donated by TMT Development founder Thomas P. Moyer, partial funding was donated by Portland philanthropist Jordan Schnitzer, and the park is now owned and operated by Portland Parks and Recreation. Director Park was recently listed as one of Sunset Magazine's Top 10 Urban Parks.
We are grateful for Tom Moyer's vision and Vanessa Sturgeon's steadfast perseverance in getting this project up and running again. We very much look forward to moving into our new office at Park Avenue West Tower in 2016.
